ABOUT ME

Picture
I have been practicing as a garden designer since 1998.  I design both town and country gardens using a mixture of bold outlines and formal structure, softened by a mixture of abundant, naturalistic and  herbaceous planting.

I aim to create gardens that embrace the house or building so that it feels a part of the garden, whilst leading the eye to key focal points or to the landscape beyond. I use a mixture of clipped evergreen structural plants, hedges and walls punctuated with softer planting, thus often forming rooms within the overall design.  I believe in creating  gardens with a strong seasonal influence to provide all year round interest and colour.

I work closely with my clients to design a garden that will transform the existing space into something that is both practical and beautiful.

I jointly designed two gardens for The Chelsea Flower Show ( 2001 2003) and one for the BBC programme 'Small Town Gardens'.
